Son Heung-min sidelined by calf injury

Tottenham are expected to be without winger Son Heung-min for the next few weeks because of the calf injury he picked up during the international break.

Son was left out of the South Korean squad for their recent meeting with Lebanon after suffering the injury in training, leaving him touch-and-go for Spurs’ clash with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Well, according to Dan Kilpatrick, Son hasn’t made it back in time, and it could be a little while before he is seen again.

Not only is the 29-year-old set to miss the Palace game, but he is also not expected to make it back in time to face Rennes in the Europa Conference League in midweek and is also not likely to return for the visit of Chelsea on September 19.

It’s not clear just how long Son is facing on the sidelines. Missing the Chelsea game would be bad enough, but Spurs will travel across London to take on Arsenal on September 26 and they’ll be desperate to have the winger back for that one.
