How good can the New York Giants be in 2021? That will depend on a few factors including quarterback and offensive line play, but also how quickly the defense molds after adding a bunch of new talent through free agency and the NFL draft.
“We’re still putting the pieces of the puzzle together because we’re just in OTAs and minicamp,” cornerback James Bradberry told ‘Good Morning Football’ last week. “We just finished with that. We’re still learning each other, still getting that chemistry down, still learning the defense. I feel like once we get all of that down, we’re going to be pretty good. Like you said, we have talented guys.”
While Bradberry stopped short of making any win-loss guarantees, he did make some guarantees when it comes to effort.
In the image of the team’s head coach, Joe Judge, Bradberry promised that the 2021 Giants will be a hard-working, gritty group of guys who give it their all every single time they step onto the field.
“First and foremost, we’re going to work hard,” said Bradberry. “That’s what Coach Judge talks about every day. We’re going to be gritty, we’re going to work hard, we’re going to be blue collar. That’s where you start. After that, you just have to put the work in and study film. The plays will come after that. That’s where we’re starting at right now. We’re just working hard and grinding.”
That would be a developing trend for Judge’s Giants, who displayed that same hard-working, gritty attitude that ultimately defined them a season ago. Now it’s just about stacking a few more wins to match the effort.
