Video: Watch Logan Paul plead for mercy during Floyd Mayweather fight

On June 6, 2021, the latest Paul-related boxing freak show fight went down featuring older brother Logan Paul against boxing great Floyd Mayweather. And while many people probably tuned in specifically to see a Paul brother get knocked out, we all left disappointed because Logan went the full eight exhibition rounds against Floyd.

Hey, when “Money” said this bout was like a “legalized bank robbery” who do you think he was robbing?

In hindsight, the result should have been a little less surprising. Mayweather has never been a knockout artist and was 155 pounds soaking wet going against Paul, who probably weighed much more than the 189.5 pounds he showed up at on the scales.

New behind the scenes footage shot by Mayweather’s videographer AGFILMz also shows Mayweather saying he’d go easy on Logan Paul.

“I gotta let him live, I gotta let him live,” Mayweather said on weigh-in day. “I’m gonna go light on him, I ain’t gonna go hard on him. I’ll go light on him.”

Another shot from AGFILMz captures a moment in between rounds as Logan Paul begs Floyd Mayweather to take it down a notch.

“Chill, champ, chill!” he said. “It’s just an exhibition!”

There’s been a lot of speculation that Mayweather carried Paul through their eight round exhibition rather than cleaning his clock and hurting him badly. There’s even people who think Floyd caught Logan and kept him on his feet after a particularly vicious right that seemed to buckle Logan’s knees a bit. But if Mayweather was going easy on Paul, Paul certainly didn’t seem to realize it at this moment caught on film.

If you ask us, Mayweather was simply more interested in the action outside the ring than the fight itself.

“Tonight was just, I was letting people see that I was able to come out at my age, at 44, and still sell out 30,000,” he said at the post-fight press conference. “And still do crazy numbers to where I can make Showtime [PPV servers] crash.”

With more than 1 million PPVs sold, he certainly reminded people of that.
